Q: Why use surveys? Can’t I just rely on website analytics?

Q: How easy are the free web tools to set up?

A: In just 3 steps and you’ll be on your way to collecting data!

 1.  Set up your account online, it takes just a few minutes. 

 2.  Follow the provided instructions and add the lightweight tag to your website source code.

 3.  Enable your project from the Crowd Science dashboard to begin collecting data.

Q: Real time? Really?

A: Yes! There is a short lag time in the refresh that allows your visitors to complete their survey, but every day you can see new details from those visiting your site (WHO) or how people like your site (SAT), or the mobile context (MOB).

Q: I’m ready to go! Is there anything preventing me from dropping the tag on my site and getting started?

A: The only thing standing in your way is making sure that your particular site accepts javascript. Since the tag itself is javascript, you can see why this could be pretty important. Not web savvy? We provide you with instructions to help you get started using the free web tools. And if you get stuck, simply let us know and we'll try and help! 

Q: What kind of info are you going to ask me for at setup?

A: Pretty basic stuff. Your name, your website URL and the type of website. This information helps us tailor your survey questionnaires and reporting to meet your needs. Worried about privacy? We don't collect personally identifiable information from the sites using our free survey-based web tools, or the site's visitors who complete our surveys. Q: This is all great, but what if my question isn't answered here? 

A: We thought you might ask that! For a general query shoot us an email at feedback@crowdscience.com or if you have a support question, click here to be taken to the support form and we will get back to you in the next day or so with an answer from a real person!

Q: What if I want to try more than one of your free web tools? 

A: Good news! Once the tag is on your site, you can just enable the other application using the “enable” button below the name of the free web tool app you would like to use.
